Let’s break down the rumors, what we know and what we hope will be there.
1. Mixture of Agents
OpenAI faces stiff competition from other tools and models. Grok has recently taken and held on tightly to the lead in intelligence from all other models with Grok 4 and Grok 4 heavy, which uses a new workflow that launches a series of agents in order to accomplish difficult tasks.
This new approach has yielded impressive results with Grok scoring high in tests like HLE (Humanity’s last exam) as well as the AIME. But I one thing that gets in Sam Altman’s craw is being #2. In the past, when that happens, Sam is always ready with a new model or at least a new annoucement.
So, although everyone will be extremely disappointed if this announcement doesn’t yield GPT and instead is something lame, I think people are going to lose it.
Agentic Browser
Another great guess would be an Agentic Browser (code named Aura). A few months ago, Google announced Project Mariner which is just reaching the hands of their Ultra and Pro users. More importantly, Perplexity released Comet, which I recently reviewed and made my default browser.
Business Offerings
Maybe it’s a play to strengthen their offerings for businesses since the announcement from Claude about their Financial Services offerings. OpenAI reported 3 million paying business users for its workplace offerings and we’ve seen rumors of new built in ChatGPT agents that allow you to edit spreadsheets and presentations directly in their chat products.
Desktop Share
Maybe it’s their own version of Copilot’s Desktop Share, a feature that shares your screen with an AI and allows it to give you suggestions on how to accomplish tasks it watches you do.
Workspace Killer
It could be a substantial amount of enhancements to its popular Canvas feature. Rumors say that they’ve been working on a Google Workspace Killer that allows for multi-user edits with chats akin to something that is more like Notion, although that might upset some of its investors.
E-Commerce Product
We’ve heard about how OpenAI’s has been working to monetize their platform further by creating a payment checkout system which will allow them to get a cut from items sold through ChatGPT.
